Steve Lamacq’s first new night, Going Deaf For A Living, was held at The Bull & Gate in Kentish Town last night and welcomed The Crookes for their first London headline show.
In this newly refurbished venue, team Crookes sweated out all their fast becoming ‘classics’ to an enthusiastic crowd. In addition, the band previewed several tracks which will feature on their debut album due out early next year.
All too often London crowds are known for their reticence and unenthusiastic appreciation of bands however at The Bull & Gate last night, The Crookes found themselves with a crowd of staunch friends.
The band move on to Moho Live in Manchester tonight.
