The Answering Machine woke bright and early in the Hatters Hostel, Birmingham yesterday and after saying their goodbyes to the wonderful staff got on the road for three shows in London.
Firstly they headed over to see the lovely people of
Puregroove Records for a lunch time in store show. Here’s some photographical evidence.

After this a dash across London to Borders on Oxford Street. The delightful Huw Stephens from Radio One popped by to catch the show. Always a pleasure with that man. This was a special stripped back version of five album tracks. It was great to see people coming up the esculator and joining the ever expanding crowd watching the band. Again big thanks and props to the lovely staff of Borders.

Finally, despite being a little weary, onto the Clink Hostel for the final show case of the day. A full band performance of the album from start to finish. Before The Answering Machine we welcomed the ace
HyperText who played five tracks from their upcoming album. Then the Answering Machine blasted on stage to a riotous performance.

Much dancing/hugging/beer-ing continued after the show. The Hyper Text boys providing some amazing tunes from the DJ booth before the band retired to their room to rest their weary heads.
It’s been an amazing three days and we are indebted to all the wonderful people who have helped us provide these great alternative shows. To all those who provided venues/music/equipment/cheers/claps we salute you.
