Skint & Demoralised release new single ‘PLESSEY ROAD’ on June 17th

Skint & Demoralised are set to release their brand new single ‘Plessey Road‘ via Heist Or Hit Records on Monday 17th June.

Plessey Road’ has already received national airplay on several occasions from career-long champion Steve Lamacq, and as an the intricate infusion of two of the band’s strongest influences – The Smiths and Johnny Cash – it is a development of their signature sound that has seen a cult fanbase continue to flourish in recent years.

Slowly stirring from slumber in a hotel room after a romantic rendesvouz, the narrative provides a rare glimpse at the naïve optimism and smitten prose that peppered S&D’s début with infectious teenage lust, whilst at the same time demonstrating the level of maturity that Abbott now possesses as he navigates us around his subconscious. This is a hazy-eyed recollection of the night before with rousing intent for what the future holds, but in the context of ‘The Bit Between The Teeth’, you can’t help in thinking that it’ll probably all go wrong. After all, Northern working class love tales seldom present a Hollywood ending.

Keep your eyes peeled for the accompanying video, which is due for release in the next couple of weeks.
