October 29th, 2014We’re very pleased to announce that Heist Or Hit Records has signed the utterly brilliant Laurel Canyons.
The four-piece from Sheffield make music that can be described as orchestral and grandiose, but their stately melodies derive from an inherent understanding of balance in their artistry. Their forthcoming debut EP, ‘Now We’re Rebuilding’, was recorded at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios with Colin Elliot (Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker, Paul Weller). Almost entirely comprised of first takes, the EP retains honesty beyond its lyrical content to conjure a lived-in ambiance both heartening and unsettling.
Laurel Canyons head out on tour with The Crookes in November. For a full list of dates, visit the band’s Live page.
Their debut EP ‘Now We’re Rebuilding’ will be released digitally on Monday 17th November. Click here to pre-order the EP on iTunes now, and receive an instant download of ‘Owe Nothing‘.
