OUT NOW: Sea Moya’s debut EP ‘Twins’ is released today through Heist or Hit

Sea Moya - Twins

Stoned, immaculate, astral funkadelia” – The Guardian
An ejaculation of afro-psych pleasure” – Noisey
Try making sense of Sea Moya” – DIY

Twins, the debut EP by Sea Moya, is released worldwide today through Heist or Hit.

Sea Moya are a German three-piece of wide ranging and unexpected influences that are not an easy prospect to deconstruct: the psyche of Tame Impala and the easy electronica of Toro Y Moi feature, but so does the hazy production style associated with JDilla and Flying Lotus.

On Twins, the band creates a wild and diverse journey of Afro-psyche stylings. A patient, almost painterly approach to songcraft defines Sea Moya’s music, which continues to reverberate in memory long after the last notes have faded.

Matt Abbott is Skint and Demoralised

Matt Abbott

Travelling up to Edinburgh Festival Fringe? Still feeling momentarily flush with the payday wedge? Look no further than Sweet Venues.

We’re all skint & demoralised. But according to NME Magazine, Matt Abbott will “have you feeling better in no time“.

Fusing witty anecdotes, kitchen sink realism and a sharp political bite, this is above all else accessible poetry from the Wakefield street poet. His tongue-in-cheek, self-deprecating humour provides a constant giggle throughout an otherwise refreshingly honest show. Sometimes bleak, sometimes poignant: one man’s insight into ordinary 21st-century British life can speak for many. His tales are peppered with cameos from the characters in his debut collection Albion Falls, and following the Edinburgh Fringe, he embarks on a 20-date tour with A Firm of Poets: a spoken word collective that he co-founded in 2013.
