Dinowalrus video exclusive for ‘Beth Steel’ on This Is Fake DIY
This Is Fake DIY are premiering the brand new video for the debut UK single by Brooklyn band Dinowalrus.
Speaking exclusively about the making of the video, frontman Peter Feigenbaum tells This Is Fake DIY; “Unlike our other highly-scripted, concept-driven videos for BEST BEHAVIOR, with Beth Steel, we pretty much just took the imagery of the record (The Domino Sugar Factory) and used that as a visual centerpiece. We just improvised without any overlying narrative…..”

FANTASY RAINBOW sign to Heist Or Hit Records
Today we complete a hat-trick. Last week we brought you 2 new Heist artists (Dutch singer-songwriter I AM OAK, and Cincinatti 2-piece BAD VEINS). And so, without further ado, we welcome you to the colourful world of FANTASY RAINBOW.
Born in Richmond, North Yorkshire and currently residing in Manchester, Fantasy Rainbow is the brainchild of Oliver Catt. A prolific songwriter, 19-year-old Catt already boasts a whole spectrum of releases, and is set to unleash a new single and album via Heist Or Hit Records in Autumn 2012.
You can catch Fantasy Rainbow at this year’s The Great Escape Festival (more details very shortly). But for now, sit back and listen to the band’s previous single, ‘No Hope, Not Ever’ (available to buy through the fabulous Tiny Lights Recordings).

I AM OAK release new album in the UK through Heist Or Hit Records
We’re extremely delighted to announce that Dutch songsmith Thijs Kuijken (aka I AM OAK) will be releasing his hauntingly beautiful new album, ‘Nowhere Or Tammensaari‘ in the UK via Heist Or Hit Records on Monday 2nd July.
This will be preceded by the ethereal debut single ‘Palpable‘, released on Monday 25th June.

BAD VEINS sign to Heist Or Hit Records for the UK and Europe
It’s fair to say that we’ve been huge admirers of Cincinnati duo Bad Veins ever since we first laid eyes (and ears) on them at Monolith Festival, Denver in the Summer of 2009. Crammed into a tiny back room, we were blown away by their live set, an intense force like no other (and there’s only 2 of them!!). We were first turned on to the band by our good friends at WOXY (R.I.P)… And one thing we’ve learnt over the years; If WOXY recommend a band to you, you listen!
Skip forward 3 years, and we find ourselves on the verge of releasing one of the most incredible albums in the Heist Or Hit catalogue. ‘The Mess We’ve Made‘ is the second album from Bad Veins, but marks their debut UK/European release. And we’re chuffed to bits that they’ll be releasing via Heist Or Hit.
We have some exciting news regarding the debut single very soon. But for now, we’ll leave you with a teaser video for album track, ‘Dancing On TV‘.
